The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded East Mississippi Community College a $1.56 million grant that will bolster efforts at The Communiversity to meet employer demands for skilled workers in industrial and engineering technology sectors while increasing enrollment and retention of female and minority students in advanced manufacturing programs of study.

EMCC, NEW HOPE HIGH RECRUIT WORLD-CLASS PERCUSSION TALENT FOR CLINICApril 3, 2024

Two renowned percussionists who serve as judges for some of the top band competitions in the nation conducted a clinic for middle and high school band students and their band directors that was provided free of charge thanks to a collaboration between East Mississippi Community College and New Hope High School.

An induction ceremony for incoming members of the Beta Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society took place the evening of March 26 in the Lyceum Auditorium on East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle campus.

An induction ceremony for incoming members of the Beta Iota Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society took place the evening of March 26 in the Lyceum Auditorium on East Mississippi Community College's Golden Triangle campus.

Three students from East Mississippi Community College's Golden Triangle campus earned awards in the 2024 Mississippi Community/Junior College Art Instructors Association's Student Art Exhibition and Competition.

More than 80 EMCC students have been invited to join the Eta Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on EMCC’s Scooba campus this Spring, and 32 participated in a joint induction ceremony for the national honor society Wednesday night in the Stennis Hall auditorium.

More than 80 EMCC students have been invited to join the Eta Upsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa on EMCC's Scooba campus this Spring, and 32 participated in a joint induction ceremony for the national honor society Wednesday night in the Stennis Hall auditorium.

East Mississippi Community College Mighty Lion Band’s New Orleans-style brass band performs during last year’s Pine Grove Arts Festival on the college’s Golden Triangle campus. The festival returns this year April 2-3 on the Scooba campus and April 9 on the college’s Golden Triangle campus.

East Mississippi Community College's Pine Grove Arts Festival on the Scooba campus will take place April 2-3, with most events free and open to the public. Pine Grove events on the Golden Triangle campus for students, faculty and staff will take place April 9.

EMCC REPEAT WINNER OF BANKMOBILE DISBURSEMENTS ACE AWARDMarch 8, 2024

For the second time in three years, East Mississippi Community College has been named a BankMobile Disbursements ACE (Achieve Campus Efficiency) Award recipient, which recognizes colleges and universities that deliver financial aid and other credit balances to students securely and efficiently.

East Mississippi Community College students Toby Biddles and Madelynne Goodson have been named 2024 Coca-Cola Academic Team Silver Scholars and will each receive a $1,250 scholarship.
